Sharmeen Obaid Chennai's short film 'Home 1947' won the Best Documentary Award at the South Asian Film Festival 2020.
Sharmeen Obaid Chanay's documentary 'Home 1947' is based on the lives of people who were deported during the establishment of Pakistan. It may be recalled that Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chennai has been awarded two Oscars while several of his documentaries have been given international awards.
