The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has rejected the report of the Petrol Crisis Inquiry Commission.
According to details, an important meeting of the authority was held under the chairmanship of acting chairman OGRA Noor-ul-Haq in which the authority decided to respond to the inquiry report while rejecting the report of the commission. Contradictory because oil companies were fined as much as the law allows.
Officials said that OGRA could not remain silent in the whole situation. It should be noted that a report released a few days ago had directed to remove OGRA through Parliament and take action against the Secretary Petroleum Division. Action has been recommended against GIL Dr. Shafi Afridi and Petroleum Division Officer Imran Abro.
In June-July this year, there was an artificial shortage of petrol in the country. The federal government had set up a commission of inquiry to find out the companies involved in petrol storage.
