Maulana Ajmal Qadri has revealed that he visited Israel in 1998 under Nawaz Sharif. His delegation included Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum and others.
Maulana Ajmal Qadri, who visited Israel during the Nawaz Sharif era, has released pictures of his visit on social media. In one of them, he is seen with then-Palestinian President Yasser Arafat. In one photo, he is seen near the Dome of the Rock, while in another, he is attending a conference.
Talking to private TV channel Sama, Maulana Ajmal Qadri claimed that the people of the Foreign Ministry were aware of this when he was going to Israel and he also informed the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. At that time Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz was also told that we were going to Israel.
Maulana Ajmal Qadri said that he crossed the West Bank from Pakistan to Jordan and then to Gaza. He was a guest of Yasser Arafat for two days and then spent four nights in a hotel in the Israeli capital, Jerusalem, where he was given a presidential suite.
Maulana Ajmal Qadri claimed that some of the people who were with him in the delegation have died. Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum was also in the delegation while Saeed Mehdi Israel, Principal Secretary to the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. I used to make important appointments.
