A curfew has been announced in urban areas of the Indian city of Mumbai as a precautionary measure following the discovery of a new code-19 virus, which has been declared a global epidemic.
According to Indian media, one of the reasons for the night curfew is the traditional celebration of Christmas and New Year. The curfew will be enforced between December 22, 2020, and January 5, 2021. The curfew will be in effect from 11pm to 6am.
According to media reports, the government of the Indian state of Maharashtra has asked its citizens to be extremely careful for the next 15 days. The state government has announced that all travelers from Europe will be quarantined for the next 14 days.
The state government has said that travelers from other countries must quarantine their homes. Just a day ago, the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Maharashtra had said that conditions in the state were better and there was no need for a lockdown.
