The coronavirus infects people in many ways, and now a new case has been reported in one patient that even experts are shocked. According to Mail Online, the 56-year-old patient has lost only one leg due to this contagious virus. Lee Maybett, a BT engineer from Dorset in the UK, contracted the coronavirus in October this year.
According to the report, after contracting the coronavirus, the blood flow in one of his legs was obstructed, as a result of which his lower leg became black and died. To save his life, the doctors had to immediately operate on him and cut off half of his leg so that the process of death of the cells of that leg could be stopped there and the life of the patient could be saved.
"When I saw my leg turn black, I called 111 and said I was in a lot of pain," Lee Maybett said. They advised me to take painkillers. Despite taking the pills, my pain worsened and my leg began to dry out, and I was taken to the Royal Burns Meth Hospital, where doctors performed a CT scan and found that the coronavirus had blocked blood flow to my thigh. "The leg is not getting blood supply and she is dying, so the doctors had to amputate my leg immediately."
