In the European country of Austria, Muslim girls were banned from wearing headscarves in educational institutions, but now an Austrian court has lifted the ban, declaring the law to be based on hatred and discrimination against Muslims. According to Mail Online, the Austrian coalition government banned girls under the age of 14 from wearing scarves in schools.
The court lifted the ban, saying: "This law can be considered as discrimination against Muslims. This law is unconstitutional and based on hatred against a certain class. The law is tantamount to depriving Muslims of their religious freedom and negates the idea of equality. According to the report, two Muslim students and their parents had challenged in court the law enforced by the Austrian government.
