Grandfather and granddaughter died when they were hit by a train near Landhi railway station. According to the railway police, a weak and infant girl was killed in a collision of the Karachi Express heading inland from Kent station. Her bodies were taken to Jinnah Hospital with the help of Chhepa volunteers.
Police say the deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Muhammad Aslam and his granddaughter 2-year-old Banesh, who are said to be residents of nearby villages. The incident took place while rescuing a girl playing on the railway line. Upon receiving the information, they reached the hospital and their bodies were handed over to their heirs by the police.
