In Gujranwala, a young girl was gang-raped by her friend and accomplices. According to the details, the number of reported rape cases in the country has increased alarmingly with each passing day due to the fact that the accused of rape have not been made a warning sign.
It has been reported that a young girl in Gujranwala was betrayed by her friend and gang-raped along with her colleagues. In a statement to the police regarding the incident, the girl said that she had been friends with the accused for a long time. The girl, a resident of Siddique Colony, Gujranwala, said she went to her village at the invitation of a friend, where accused Tayyab, along with five of his accomplices, forcibly gang-raped her.
Police have arrested the accused after the girl lodged a complaint. The girl was shifted to a hospital for medical examination. Police say further legal action will be taken against the accused once the medical report is received. It should be noted that the horrific incidents of rape and murder of women have increased alarmingly in the last few years.
In the aftermath of these incidents, the people are demanding that the perpetrators of sexual abuse be punished severely. In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved in principle the establishment of special courts for abuse cases. The new special courts will hear cases of abuse of children, women and eunuchs.
