Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow is ready to supply its corona virus vaccine 'Sputnik V' to the needy countries.
Vladimir Putin, while addressing the G20 summit in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, said that "effective and safe vaccines should be available to everyone." Russia is ready to provide its Corona virus vaccine to countries in need.
He said Russia supports the decision of the draft of the meeting, which aims to make effective and safe vaccines available to all.
"The vaccine developed by our researchers can be supplied to the whole country," he said.
He added that this is the world's first registered 'Sputnik V' vaccine, while the second vaccine from the Novosibirsk Research Center, 'Epicwick Corona', is also ready.
"The epidemic has forced us to use all available resources and available research. Our common goal is to develop a vaccine and make it accessible to the public with confidence," he said.
"It means there will be a lot of work for each partner, and I think this is an issue in which we must move beyond basic humanitarian ideas and prioritize them," he said.
The Russian president has said that the corona virus has caused an economic crisis.
He said the scale of human suffering in 2020 was truly unprecedented, adding that a global lockdown and suspended economic activity had created an economic crisis.
Medical experts in Russia have claimed that the Sputnik V corona vaccine is 92% effective in preliminary results.
The Corona vaccine was given to 16,000 volunteers, according to the Jumelia Research Center under the Russian Ministry of Health and the Russian Foreign Investment Fund (RDIF).
