President Arif Alawi has apologized for incorrectly tweeting the death of former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali.
Earlier, President Arif Ali had tweeted that former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali had passed away. He also expressed condolences to the family of the former prime minister.
After the tweet from the President, all the media followed the news and spread the news of Mir Zafarullah Jamali's death, but soon after, Arif Alvi realized his mistake.
In another tweet, Arif Alvi corrected, saying that he had deleted his first tweet and apologized to his family. Arif Alvi said that he has spoken to Omar Jamali who has confirmed that Mir Zafarullah Jamali is currently on a ventilator. May Allah heal them soon.
Former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali suffered a heart attack on Sunday after which he was shifted to FIC Hospital. When his condition worsened, he was first shifted to the ICU, where he was placed on a ventilator.
I have deleted the Tweet, based on wrong info with apologies to the family. Mir Zafrullah Jamali is on the ventilator. I talked to Omar Jamali who confirmed this. May Allah grant him immediate recovery.
