Indian TV and film actor Ashish Rai has died at the age of 55. Ashish, 55, died of kidney failure.
Ashish Rai had been battling the disease for the past few months. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of a Mumbai hospital and was awaiting financial assistance for treatment.
According to Indian media, a staff member said that Ashish died at around 3.45 am. He was suffering from kidney disease and was undergoing dialysis but his health was improving over the last few weeks. The last rites of the actor will be performed this evening when his sister arrives in Mumbai from Calcutta.
The Cine & TV Association and others associated with the TV and film industry have expressed their grief over the actor's demise. Manifested
