Advocate Khalid Khurshid's name has been finalized for Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister. The Prime Minister has approved his name.
According to details, Khalid Khurshid Advocate has been elected as a member of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly from Astor district. He joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2018. Now, after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, his name has been drawn for the post of Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan. The Prime Minister had consulted the leadership of Central and Gilgit-Baltistan for the nomination of Khalid Khurshid.
On the other hand, a meeting of spokespersons and party leaders was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister in which the political and economic situation of the country was discussed while the formation of Gilgit-Baltistan government and the growing threats of Corona were considered.
According to sources, the meeting also discussed the opposition statement and possible movement strategy while measures against inflation and achievement of economic targets will also be discussed.
