Joined the Digital Cooperation Organization of Pakistan as a founding member

 

Pakistan has joined the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) as a founding member along with other countries including Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, the establishment of the DCO was initiated by Saudi Arabia and included other countries including Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates as founding members. 

The DCO was inaugurated online hosted by Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Sawaha, where Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi attended with a video statement.

Appreciating the initiative of the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that at a time when digital technology is estimated at 11 11 trillion and is on the rise after the Code-19 epidemic, the formation of DCOs will help meet the needs of global cooperation and cooperation in the digital field.

The statement said the DCO would promote the global digital agenda in the fields of science, health, education, trade, social, agriculture, investment and security as digital diplomacy is a key component of the Foreign Ministers' public diplomacy. ۔

The Foreign Office says the Foreign Ministry has a special digital diplomacy group, which includes some of Pakistan's best IT professionals, and they are highlighting aspects of Pakistan's digital diplomacy.

The statement said that in countries like Pakistan where there are talented and trained skilled people, the information revolution is reducing the development deficit.

The Foreign Office statement added that Pakistan's membership in the DCO would achieve those goals.
