A delegation of senior Russian military officials visited the Turkish Ministry of Defense and discussed technical issues with Turkish military officials on peacekeepers in Karabakh.
The Syrian conflict was also discussed during the talks. The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement that the two countries have settled preliminary technical issues, but more meetings will be held in the coming days.
It should be noted that the Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia continued for 44 days. Armenia conceded defeat on November 10 and announced its withdrawal from Karabakh. Armenian Prime Minister Nicolas Sarkozy has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to call for a ceasefire and end his 30-year occupation of Karabakh.
