The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has arrested Prince Saleem, son of former Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Mir Ghazanfar, in a fraud case.

The accused said that he belonged to a political family and was deliberately arrested before the election. All the money has been returned to the National Bank and the arrest is based on malice. The accused's lawyer Osama Khalid said that NAB Has been arrested, an honorable person is being arrested without any reason and honor is being raised. The accountability court approved the four-day transit remand of Prince Saleem and handed him over to the NAB. The court directed the NAB to produce the accused before the concerned court in Gilgit within four days. Had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore.
It may be recalled that Prince Saleem was elected a member of the Legislative Assembly seat vacated by his father in 2016, but he was disqualified in 2017 for fraud from a government bank. In the elections held in Baltistan, a member of the Legislative Assembly was elected from Hunza on the ticket of PML-N. He resigned from the membership of the Assembly after 6 months and took over the post of Governor. Later on September 15, 2018 Khan had resigned from his post which was accepted by President Arif Ali on September 25, 2018.
