Police have registered an FIR in connection with the rape that took place six months ago in Depalpur Tehsil of Okara. According to media reports, a physically challenged girl was gang-raped by a group of thugs in Depalpur six months ago. An innocent girl was gang-raped by a gang of thugs at gunpoint.
The girl's mother and neighbors rescued her at the screams of the girl, but the bully fled waving a pistol, while the police refused to register a case against her, police said. The girl's father was a laborer who became silent and waited.
Requests were made to the police several times, several social workers were involved and then six months later the police registered an FIR against unknown persons.
Police said that they were waiting for the medical report. The medical report revealed that the girl was raped after which an FIR has been registered. The reason for the delay in the case by the police has not been revealed yet. Residents of the area are also protesting against the delay by the police.
