TOKYO: Robotic monster wolves are being used in Japan to keep bears and other animals away from homes and crops.
According to local media reports, bears in the Japanese town of Takikawa often go in search of food and turn over garbage dumps in residential areas.
Residents who were tired of these bears first enlisted the help of hunters to catch the bears, but the problem was not solved. Now the residents have come up with a unique solution and that is the robotic monster wolf.

Named the Monster Wolf, these robotic wolves are equipped with infrared sensors that detect when a bear or other animal enters the area.
When these sensors see a bear or an animal, the monster's head moves and its red eyes with LEDs start flashing.

The loudspeakers inside the robot emit a variety of loud noises, such as the roar of a wolf, the sound of bullets and human noises, which frighten animals and force them to flee.
