Balochistan Awami Party chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal has said that we have been declared traitors since 1947, we are old traitors, those who repeatedly violate the constitution are called patriots.
Addressing a public meeting of PDM at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Karachi, Balochistan Awami Party chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that we have been declared traitors since 1947, now our certificate of treason has been eaten by termites. He said that those who are fighting for their rights are accused of treason. There are the same patriots here who are the ones who have been using martial law, or ruling by licking boots. He said during the speech, while asking a question, "Weren't we promised a democratic country while building the country?" Freedom of judiciary, supremacy of parliament, freedom of media were promised but what is democracy? An elected Prime Minister was hanged. One prime minister was removed and deported. He said that the people were begging for the protection of their children and those who had pushed themselves into the war of others with foreign dollars and dyed their hands with the blood of innocent people would have to be held accountable.
He further said that now they also want to occupy the islands of Sindh and Balochistan, we will not allow anyone to occupy the islands of Balochistan.
