'Transgender surgery is not performed without the consent of the patient'
According to Dr. Amjad Chaudhry, the operation took 5 to 6 hours and took about two months to complete.
He said that psychological assessment or psychological analysis is also done before the operation and it is not the parents but the patients themselves who decide whether they have to undergo gender reassignment surgery or live a similar life. Therefore, before the operation, where various medical tests are performed, the patient's condition is also examined psychologically and then he decides whether to go through the stages of the operation or not and the whole process takes two months.
