The United States has indicted six Russian military intelligence officials for carrying out cyberattacks on Ukraine's power grid station, the 2017 French election and the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Six Russian military intelligence officers have been charged in the United States with alleged involvement in cyberattacks on Ukraine, the French election and the Olympic Games, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. According to the news, six agents of GRU are accused of carrying out malware attack under the name of Natapatia and infecting computers all over the world which caused loss of one billion dollars to the American companies alone. He also targeted an international investigation into the alleged attack on former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, and carried out cyber attacks on media outlets and parliament in Georgia.
The United States has said in a statement that Russia's foreign intelligence service has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia's intelligence have been made more than once.
