New measures, including lockdowns, are being introduced in various countries to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The UAE has decided to cut the salaries of government employees who neglect to spread the virus.
The UAE Department of Labor has said that a government employee who deliberately conceals the symptoms of the corona virus will be deducted 10 days' salary.
Employees have been notified in this regard by an official order and have been directed to follow government measures to prevent corona virus and adhere to prescribed safety measures.
According to local media, the federal manpower agency said that government employees have been informed about the 12 restrictions and their violations. Violations of security measures will result in a 10-day basic pay cut.
Government employees have been told to stop coming to work immediately if any employee is infected with the corona virus and show signs of it, and to report it to the agency, in addition to shaking hands and crowding offices. Notice will be given and salary may be deducted.
