The national airline is undergoing reforms and accountability, with PIA taking action against 54 employees last month.

According to the details, PIA has taken action against 54 employees in September. The Human Resources Department has also released a list of actions against the employees. PIA fired 7 employees with fake academic credentials. PIA fired two employees for damaging the company's assets, one employee was fired for illegally disclosing government information, one was fired for corruption and 6 employees involved in embezzlement were sacked. 2 employees involved in drug trafficking and smuggling were sacked, 2 employees were sacked for stealing government documents, damaging records, 1 employee was sacked for refusing to work. Increment of 5 employees was deducted as punishment for violation of PES, 9 employees were demoted for non-compliance with orders, 10 employees were found not guilty after due process, while 13 were commended for good performance. Certificates, and cash awards were given to 7 employees.
