A report has come from South Africa where a monkey has been jailed after complaining about eating food in the homes of citizens.

According to the Indian news agency India Times, the incident took place in Cape Town, South Africa, where a monkey named Katza used to break into people's houses in search of food. After hundreds of complaints from citizens about the naughty monkey, the police caught him and took him to jail.

Residents of the area said that the monkey, along with his companions, used to break into houses at night and pick up fruits, vegetables and other food items lying in the house. In the morning they would find the baskets empty.

People said that other monkeys living in the area do not do such a thing. Katza would join them and raid homes.

According to the report, there is a lot of anger among the people over the imprisonment of monkeys. A campaign has been launched on social media for the release of this monkey and the trend of Bring Back Kitaza is going on top.
