The FBR issued an explanation regarding the 17% sales tax levied on the sale of used vehicles

 
The FBR issued a clarification on the 17% sales tax levied on the sale of used vehicles. Amendments were made at the request of all major chambers of commerce to address this concern.

According to the FBR, the Finance Act has taken steps to facilitate business people in this regard. A clause has been added to encourage the resale of used and manufactured vehicles. Is for registered persons and is 17% of the value added. According to the FBR, unregistered persons cannot demand sales tax from the customer. Following the amendment in the Act, the rules have now been finalized.
