The dollar depreciated for the second day in a row at the Interbank Foreign Exchange (IFEX) on Friday, with the dollar depreciating by 45 paise and the open market by 50 paise on Friday.
According to market sources, the dollar fell 45 paise to Rs 161.37 in the interbank market and 50 paise in the open market to Rs 161.80 on Thursday. The rupee had come down to 90 paise, since August it had become cheaper by 6 rupees 53 paise.
