A bill has been passed in Pakistan to give one month leave to the father on the birth of a child. It has been said that the father is entitled to one month leave on the birth of the child along with the mother.
The bill introduced by Shazia Murree states that fathers can get leave only till the birth of three children and it will be applicable only to Islamabad. The law is applicable to all government and non-government institutions of the federal capital. According to the bill, on the birth of the first child, the mother will get 6 months leave and the father will get one month leave.
The text of the bill states that the mother will have four months' leave and the father will have one month's leave on the birth of the second child.
According to the bill, on the birth of the third child, the mother will get three months leave and the mother will get one month leave. According to the bill presented by Shazia Murree, the father will get leave till the birth of three children. Earlier, a bill was introduced in the Senate for a six-month leave for a working mother and a three-month leave for a father on the birth of a child. Relationships and families will become stronger.
"Unfortunately, that's the father's role," he said. It is ignored in the first two months of life. This is when the mother needs help. And this is the time when the father has a strong bond with his child. According to the draft presented, the husband should ask for maternity leave. None of the wives will be fired. If necessary, the mother's leave will be extended by three months and the father's leave by one month, but they will not be paid for these additional leave.
