Signing of artificial intelligence strategies and tech agreements

 

Saudi Arabia has launched a new policy and signed tech agreements at the International Artificial Intelligence Summit in Riyadh on October 21 and 22.

It may be recalled that Saudi Arabia has announced its national strategy on data and artificial intelligence (AI) at the conference. Under this, steps will be taken to make Saudi Arabia one of the top 15 countries in the world in the field of artificial intelligence by 2030.

According to Arab News, Saudi Arabia has signed a number of agreements to mark the digital milestone with the launch of a national strategy for data and artificial intelligence.

Huge investments in infrastructure, education and science, while agreements with world leaders in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud storage, Saudi Arabia is set to join the ranks of what the World Economic Forum has dubbed the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

On the second day of the Riyadh Virtual Summit, two agreements were signed, including two strategic projects with Chinese tech giant Huawei, one involving Arabic language and letter recognition.

Dr. Majid Al-Tajweeri, General Supervisor of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence at the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, said: It wants to help Arab citizens. "

Another agreement for the Smart City project has been signed with the Chinese company Alibaba.

The third agreement is with US giant IBM to use state-of-the-art artificial intelligence to transform the healthcare and energy sectors.

"Our top-level individuals will work with researchers from the American company IBM to help the world and humanity on a large scale," said Majid al-Tajweeri.
