Sign World's decision to close all cinemas in the United States and the United Kingdom

Yesterday, the 25th release of the James Bond series was announced to be postponed until April next year and the shock of this could not be borne by the cinemas of the United States and the United Kingdom.

Sign World, the largest in the UK and the second largest in the US, has decided to temporarily close all its cinemas in the US, UK and Ireland from next week.

According to Variety, the company is closing all its 543 cinemas in the United States with more than 7,000 screens.

The Sunday Times reports that the company is also closing all 128 cinemas in the UK and Ireland.

Due to the Corona virus epidemic, the film will now be released in April 2021 instead of November 2020, and another major film of the year is out of cinemas.

Apparently, these companies were expecting a timely release of the James Bond film, which was likely to increase ticket sales.

Sign World did not confirm the closure of the cinemas but said it was considering temporarily closing cinemas in the United Kingdom and the United States, although a final decision had not yet been made.

The company has 123 cinemas in Eastern Europe that are unlikely to be closed, as restrictions on the corona virus are softer there and local films are being released.

The Corona virus epidemic has delayed several major Hollywood movies, including Black Video, Fast 9 and others, which will be released in 2021.

Disney has postponed the release of all Star Wars and Avatar movies for a year.

Earlier, Avatar 2 was supposed to be released in 2021 but now it will be released in 2022 while Star Wars movie will be released in 2023 instead of 2022.

Sign World's cinemas opened in various countries in July, but lost 3 1.3 billion in the first half of the year.

The three largest markets in the United States, New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco, are still closed to cinemas due to the Corona virus epidemic.
