Security forces operation in North Waziristan, landmine mastermind killed

The Pakistani military foiled a major terrorist attempt in North Waziristan, killing two most wanted terrorists.

According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), security forces arrested a terrorist while conducting operations at terrorist hideouts in Buwayh on intelligence.

ISPR says the wanted terrorists were involved in the killing of locals, kidnappings and other incidents and more than 25 attacks on security forces.

The ISPR said that the mastermind of the mine, who had achieved great success against the terrorists in the intelligence-based operation, was also killed.

Earlier, security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan and Mohmand, which resulted in seven terrorists.

It may be recalled that on March 9, two most wanted terrorists were killed while Col. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was martyred in an operation by security forces near Tank on a tip-off.

It may be recalled that during the security forces operation in North Waziristan in January this year, 5 terrorists were killed while 2 youths were martyred. Among the martyrs were Cop Muhammad Shamim and Cop Asad Khan.
