Saudi woman's invention approved to save ships from sinking

In Saudi Arabia, although women have been allowed to work in dramas and films for the past few years, they are also allowed to travel abroad without the permission of a male guardian.

Now in Saudi Arabia, where women are free to drive, they can now work with non-mahram men, as well as be allowed to participate in politics.

That is why Saudi women are advancing in every field and now Saudi Arabia has approved the invention of Saudi woman Sheikha Ayad Al-Mutairi to save ships from sinking.

Sheikha Ayad Al-Mutairi's invention is aimed at preventing the occupants of ships from drowning.

In an interview given to Al Arabiya Net regarding this invention, Sheikha Ayad Al-Mutairi spoke about her invention, its future benefits and its root causes.

"I was watching a documentary that showed a helicopter flying over a sinking plane and then landing on the water," he said.

Sheikh Ayad Al-Mutairi said that after seeing this scene, I thought that helicopters came to the aid of the sinking ship and if they landed on the water, why not the ship would automatically rise above the water during an emergency.

"At first I thought it was ridiculous, but over time I forgot that I had such an idea, but when I saw the Al-Salam ship from Jeddah to Egypt sinking, my mind went blank," he said. I came up with this idea again.

Sheikh Ayad Al-Mutairi said that after that I participated in the National Olympiad of King Abdulaziz Foundation 'Mohaba' and presented my idea which was accepted.

He said that the title of his project was "Separate Ship in Emergency".

Explaining the purpose of the invention, the Saudi woman says that its purpose is to save the people aboard the sinking ships.

"When a ship sinks, it results in economic losses and maritime environmental problems," he said.

"My invention can prevent all these losses," he said.

Sheikha Al-Mutairi said that many people patronized me in this invention and my father encourages me.

"Now is the time for my invention to come to the forefront of the world, to play an effective role in saving ships, their occupants and their cargo," he said.

Sheikh Ayad Al-Mutairi, a Saudi woman, has an M.Phil from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University on the subject of beliefs and modern sects.

He is a registered trainer and his invention has gone through 3 stages and has now entered the final stage.

Now she intends to invent her invention abroad and then market it to shipbuilding companies.
