Rhea's remand extended, demands for release increased

 

The judicial remand of Risha Chakraborty, the girlfriend of the late Indian hero Sshant Singh Rajput, who was arrested in the Rajput case, has been extended while the demand for Riya's release is also gaining momentum.

According to India Today, the judicial remand of Indian actress Riya Chakraborty, who was arrested on charges of murdering Shant Singh Rajput and using drugs, has been extended till October 20.

Riya Chakravarty, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau, is currently lodged in Mumbai's Bekla Jail.

Riya Chakravarty had filed a bail application in the Mumbai High Court on which the Indian court today extended the judicial remand till October 20.

After Indian actress Swara Bhaskar, now Kanika Dahlon has also demanded the release of Riya Chakraborty.

In a statement on social networking site Twitter, Kanika Dahlon said of Riya's arrest that "despite the denial of conspiracy allegations, Riya Chakraborty is in jail," the CBI said in a statement. No evidence of murder has been found.
