Red alert issued in Iran, 26 provinces included in the red zone

A red alert has been issued in Iran in the wake of rising cases of the global corona virus.

According to the spokesman of the health department, 26 out of 31 provinces of Iran have been included in the red zone due to the corona threat.

The spokesman added that in the last 24 hours, 3,902 new corona cases were reported while 235 people lost their lives.

He also said that the highest number of 235 deaths has been recorded in 24 hours since the outbreak of the epidemic in July.

According to a spokesman for the health department, the number of coronavirus victims in Iran is more than 475,000, while the death toll has risen to more than 27,000.

Corona virus has killed more than 1,044,000 people worldwide, while more than 35.6 million people have been infected so far.

More than 27.8 million people have been cured of the corona virus, while 780,000 people are currently infected.

The top five countries affected by the epidemic are the United States, India, Brazil, Russia and Colombia, while Iran is currently the 13th most affected country.
