A female journalist from Russia set herself on fire after a police raid on her home.
According to international media reports, a female journalist sprayed petrol on herself and set herself on fire outside the Interior Ministry office in the town of Nazhine Novgorod on Friday.
According to the report, the house of Irina Slovina, a journalist affiliated with Koza Press, was raided by the police a day ago and searched for hours, during which she protested in front of the government.
"The state will be responsible for my death," Arena wrote in a Facebook post.
Opposition parties have strongly condemned the police raid on the house of a female journalist and demanded a transparent investigation by the government.
"Police confiscated all my books, laptops, mobile phones and electronic items, along with my daughter's laptop and my husband's mobile phone," the journalist said in a statement on Facebook. ۔
Russia's foreign intelligence service has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia's intelligence have been made more than once.
The investigative committee confirmed that the woman journalist's house was raided by police the day before because she was an eyewitness to a case.
