ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared Nawaz Sharif wanted and issued a summons order through an advertisement. A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard Nawaz Sharif's appeals on Azizia and Avonfield references.
The court ruled that if Azizia and Avonfield references did not appear within 30 days, they would be advertised. Statements of 3 Foreign Ministry officials were recorded for refusing to receive the warrant.
The Additional Attorney General stated that the cost of advertising would be borne by the federal government. Prosecutor NAB said that documents and witnesses proved that Nawaz Sharif was a fugitive.
Pakistan High Commission London Consul Attache Rao Abdul Hanan said in a written statement that he went to Nawaz Sharif's London residence at 6.35 pm on September 17, the employee refused to receive an arrest warrant, NAB appealed to the court. That Nawaz Sharif's summons be issued.
