Military personnel living in the military colony banned from using social media

The use of social media by serving and retired military officers living in the Pakistan Army-run Askari Housing Colony has been banned.

According to the notification, serving and retired military officers residing in Askari have been required not to install any social media application which has GPS location tracking system.

Officers have been instructed to bind their families and delete GPS tracking apps themselves. Military officials have been told that strict action will be taken against them if they violate the order.
