A migrant car crashed in Greece, killing a Pakistani driver and injuring nine passengers.
According to the international news agency, a migrant vehicle was signaled to stop at a police checkpoint in the Greek city of Kavala, but instead of stopping the car, the driver tried to cross the checkpoint at high speed and escape.
During the police chase, the driver lost control of the car due to high speed and collided with an oncoming vehicle, killing the driver and seriously injuring nine passengers.
Police say the dead driver is a Pakistani, while eight of the nine injured passengers are Afghan nationals and one injured Pakistani national, who allegedly brought them to Greece illegally. The injured were taken into custody.
