Karachi in the grip of heatwave

 

Karachi is in the grip of a heatwave. According to the Meteorological Department, hot weather is expected in the city during the next 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department said that strong winds were blowing in Karachi last night. Due to dry winds blowing from the north and northeast, the night remained chilly due to which the minimum temperature also dropped by 2 degrees.

The minimum temperature in Shar-e-Quaid was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to be 39 to 41 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department also said that winds were blowing at a speed of 12 km per hour from the north in Karachi with a humidity of 12%.
