Is there a partial curfew in Kuwait?

Rumors were circulating in Kuwait that a partial curfew was once again being imposed to curb the coronavirus outbreak, but a clear statement from the health ministry had emerged.

According to details, Kuwaiti Health Minister Dr. Basil Al-Sabah reacted strongly to the rumors about a partial curfew in the country and said in a statement that no such decision has been made.

During a meeting with health officials, he once again dismissed rumors of a partial ban in the country.

Dr. Basel said in his explanatory statement that a meeting of the Ministry of Health was to be held on Sunday in which important decisions are expected.

It may be recalled that Kuwait had lifted the three-month partial curfew in the country on August 31. The partial lockdown was imposed on May 28. Under partial lockdown, there was a partial curfew from 6 pm to 6 am.

Kuwait had earlier imposed a 16-hour nationwide curfew from April 20, which was later extended, but only a few departments and agencies were allowed to operate from 4pm to 8pm.
