Institutions have decided in principle not to interfere in politics, Shah Mehmood Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the institutions have decided in principle not to interfere in politics.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that we have to learn from the mistakes of the past and move forward. I am not accustomed to making statements on unverified information.

He said that the institutions have also learned from the past, they have decided in principle that they will not interfere in politics.

The Foreign Minister said that the transfer of power from the civilian government to the civilian government was a step towards betterment.

He said that the cases are being looked into by the NAB which is an independent body, inquiries are also being made on other people, they go and present their case.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that the decision was made on the basis of the situation of Nawaz Sharif which was reported to Prime Minister Imran Khan. I am not saying that the former Prime Minister was not in a bad mood.

"I am saying that the decision to let them go was based on what was put before the government."

The Foreign Minister said that it was the moral duty of Nawaz Sharif to inform the court about the status of his treatment.

He said that these people have tried their best to prolong the cases through their lawyers and they should cooperate to bring the cases to a logical conclusion.
