India: A mob kills three Bangladeshis

 


Assam: In the Indian state of Assam, a mob beat three Bangladeshis to death for cattle theft.

According to foreign media, the incident took place in Karimganj district of Assam, where three suspected cattle thieves were beaten to death by a mob.

Police said a group of animal thieves crossed the Indo-Bangladesh border on Saturday night and tried to enter the Bogrizan tea plantations within the Pathar Kundi police station.

According to police, the suspected thieves have not been identified yet. The place where the mob attacked them is at a distance of one and a half kilometers from the border.

Reports say that Bangladeshi thieves trying to steal the animal from a tea garden worker, however, the workers saw them and started making noise at which people gathered around and they Caught the thieves

Police said the number of thieves was seven, four of whom managed to escape, while three fell into the hands of the mob and died from their violence.

Police are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made.

According to a police statement, Bangladeshi-made biscuits and bread crumbs were found on the bodies of the Bangladeshis, as well as wire-cutting equipment and bags.
