The fear of a leopard lingered in the Indian city of Hyderabad for five months, after which it was finally caught alive by forest officials.
According to details, a bloodthirsty leopard had been plowing in Hyderabad for the last five months. Leopards have made numerous attacks on humans and animals.
Rajendra Nagar police along with forest department officials also assisted in this successful operation. A cage was set up to catch the wild beast in which the cunning leopard was finally trapped.
According to reports, the leopard had killed two calves during another hunt yesterday.
The leopard was spotted near a government training and research center in the Valmetri area a month ago, and a Forest Department team set up cages in and around Valmetri to catch it, in one of which he was eventually trapped.
It has been decided that the captured leopard will be released into the wild but before that it will be kept in Nehru Zoological Park for a few days.
According to reports, the leopard was first spotted in Rajendra Nagar on May 14, causing a stir among the people of the area. Since then, he has been playing catch-up with the forest department officials.
