The world's largest fountain, the Palm Fountain, was inaugurated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, adding another tourist attraction to Dubai.
The fountain is named Al-Nakhla. Spread over a radius of 14,000 cubic feet, it is 105 meters high. At the bottom, more than 3,000 bulbs have been installed, which will give a beautiful view of the water glistening with colorful light.
Hundreds of masked people attended the opening ceremony of the fountain, with a spectacular fireworks display.
Palm Fountain has been named in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest fountain.
"We are delighted that Palm Fountain has officially been named the world's largest fountain," said the senior marketing manager at the Guinness Book of World Records at the launch.
