Illegal SIM business in Riyadh, 5 foreigners arrested

 
Riyadh police in Saudi Arabia have arrested five foreign workers involved in the illegal trade of mobile SIMs. They were working under the guise of a shop.

According to newspaper 24, the Interior Ministry said in a statement that the flat of Bangladeshi workers was located near the shop where they used to activate SIM. They were quietly selling SIMs to those who came to the shop. 5751 mobile SIMs belonging to various mobile companies have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Riyadh police said that fingerprint reading machines were also found in the possession of foreign workers. Laptops were also kept. There was also a system to activate the SIM. Many people's fingerprints were printed on paper.

A spokesman for the Riyadh police said a report had been lodged against the foreign workers. It has been handed over to the concerned agency for legal action.
