All records of inflation in the country were broken

The Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has released the latest inflation figures in the country.

According to the statistics agency, gold and eggs became 37% and 36% more expensive in the last three months, while vegetables became 45% more expensive in the cities.

From July to September, potatoes became 76% more expensive and ginger 54% more expensive. The price of sugar increased by 22.5%, the average price of dal peanut reached Rs. 243.52 per kg and the price of tomato increased by Rs. 10 per kg in one week. Dal mash became cheaper by 50 paise per kg.

Inflation was 8.2 % in August, 40 % for tomatoes and 33.3 % for vegetables, 6.18 % for potatoes, 5.2 % for eggs and 4.5% for lentils.

Inflation rose to 9.04 per cent in September, with flour rising by 34.3 per cent in urban areas and 29.57 % in rural areas, chicken by 18.3 % and onions by 14.5 %, tomatoes by 48 per cent and pulses by 41.4%.
