5 employees of a private bank infected with corona virus, branch closed

Corona virus has been confirmed in 5 employees of a branch of a private bank located in Defense Phase 5 area of ​​Karachi.

After diagnosing corona virus in employees, the deputy commissioner closed the private bank branch indefinitely.

According to the notification of the Deputy Commissioner, the corona positive rate in Karachi is continuously increasing.

The DC further said that if all the other employees of the branch tested negative for corona virus, the bank will be able to resume work after disinfecting the branch.

Following the increase in cases of corona virus in Karachi, action is being taken against the violators of SOPs. The administration has sealed 3 marriage halls, 57 restaurants and 4 schools.

Yesterday, 91 out of 474 marriage halls in six districts were inspected, 91 marriage halls were found violating SOPs of Corona virus, while 3 marriage halls were also sealed.

According to a statement issued from the office of the Commissioner Karachi, 225 restaurants were inspected in six districts, in which 89 restaurants were found violating SOPs of Corona virus.

The district administration also inspected 46 schools in which 16 schools were found violating Corona virus SOPs and four schools were sealed.
