The landing was ordered. A doctor on the plane said most of the women were upset when they returned shortly afterwards.

Dr Wolfgang Babek said at least one of them was crying and discussing what had happened and that it was unacceptable and offensive. The plane took off after the women returned. Dr Babik said he spoke to some passengers who said they had been taken to a private area of ​​the airport.

The women said security personnel took them to a room. Didn't know what was going to happen and then was presented to a lady doctor where a search was carried out basically naked. Even the underwear was taken off. Then the lady doctor tried to find out who had recently given birth. Someone said a newborn had been found in the toilet and an attempt was being made to find out who his mother was. ۔

A spokesman for the Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) told the Guardian Australia that it was aware of reports of mistreatment of passengers on a Qatar Airways flight to Sydney. Qatari officials and Qatar Airways are seeking more information.

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade issued a statement saying: "The Australian Government has formally expressed its serious concern over the incident with the Qatari authorities. It is assured that detailed and transparent information of the incident will be provided soon.
