Why is wisdom tooth called 'wisdom tooth'?

As a child, you must have heard from the mouths of your elders that the 'wisdom tooth' grows out and when it comes out, it is very painful.

Even then, the only question that came to our mind was, does the intellect really come after the wisdom teeth come out? And does the intellect really have anything to do with the intellect or not?

Third molar has been commonly referred to as the "wisdom tooth" since the 17th century, and in the 21st century, people still call it the wisdom tooth.

Teeth usually erupt the slowest of all our teeth, usually between the ages of 17 and 25. This molar is called 'wisdom molar' because it comes out when a person becomes an adult and at this part of the age he is more intelligent than before, which is why the third molar is commonly called The intellect is called the molar.
