What is so special about this picture, one of the most influential in the world?

Look at the picture above. Do you see anything special or unique?

It may seem like a simple picture of a supermarket, but would you believe it is one of the most expensive photographs sold in the world?

In fact, the German photographer Andreas Gorske is known around the world for his work, and surprisingly, he has a reputation for photographs that never really existed, but whose skills are perfected.

You may have seen the picture above, but his most expensive photo was the Rhine 2, which sold for 43 4.3 million in 2011.

But the picture we are talking about above has been part of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential Pictures, although apparently nothing special.

This is a picture of a 99 cents store in Los Angeles which is real but not.

The photographer actually compiled several images of the place into a single photograph, resulting in countless rows of objects.

The heads of the people there seem to be floating on these rows, and it seems to be a painting instead of a photograph, which was also the photographer's endeavor.

Andreas Gorsky digitally creates images that transform everyday experiences into art.

The painting sold for 33 3.346 million at auction in May 2006, but was included in Time Magazine for helping modern photography become part of the art world.
