Cancer is a contagious disease that kills millions of people in the world every year, but we can be very safe from this deadly disease by making some small changes in our diet and lifestyle.
Professor Robert Thomas has outlined some precautions that can be taken to prevent the disease. Cambridge University professor Thomas says that you should brush your teeth regularly, never eat burnt toast and use pears instead of jam.
Professor Thomas said that not brushing one's teeth increases one's risk of developing many types of cancer. In one of our studies, the genetic material of the bacteria found in the cavities of people's teeth was also found in the cells affected by the anal cancer that they were exposed to. Not brushing your teeth greatly increases the risk of cancer from the mouth to the colon and anus.
According to the report, Professor Thomas also advised people to sunbathe and said that people who do not go out in the sun because they are black make a big mistake because vitamin D is an essential ingredient to protect us from cancer. And most of all we get it from the sun.
