Unidentified men attack senator's car on motorway.

Mirza Muhammad Afridi, an independent senator from the upper house of the tribal district, was attacked by unidentified assailants at the Bhera site of the motorway.

The attack on Senator Mirza Afridi shattered his car windows, but he survived the attack. Senator Mirza Afridi was coming to Islamabad from Lahore to attend the Senate session. Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi said that the vehicle without number plate was in pursuit. Due to the chase, he slowed down and went to the service area. After slowing down, a strong object hit the front wind. Unidentified persons in the vehicle fled on turning towards the service area.
